Commercial’s February 21, 2006

Commercials. Why do we have them? Sure those TV company’s need to get by, but why have commercials that last for a couple of minutes. I’m fine with one or two 60 second commercials, but why have 5-7 of those. It really annoys me, especially during movies that are on channels such as TBS or TNT. Than while your watching the movies, little advertisements will be at the bottom of the screen; where are the action is.
It pisses me off so damn much that I don’t really want to watch the movie anymore. I’d rather pay $5.75 to rent a movie at the local supermarket. It destroys the whole point of watching a movie, not a TV show. Than there are the companies that don’t sell commercials to beer companies or anyone else, so they continously play their own commercials for shows of their own. That pisses me off the most. Why the heck should one be subjected to a commercial for something that is coming up next on that station. Or the new ‘LOST’ episode.
Commercials, TV can’t live without ‘em, viewers can live without ‘em.
In other note, I might not post a new entry in the next coming days, no time since I’m going on febuary break vacation to my grandma’s.

Now this may or may not be a real domain, but hey if you really want it check out this blog post. Anyway, back to the main point of this blog.
Bode Miller was favored to at least medal in every event he is entered in, yet hasn’t done so yet. Heck he doesn’t even care if he wins a goddamned medal.
Well I got new for you Bode, win a medal here at the games, or at least let us, the American People, the people you are representing at the Olympic Games, know that you are trying to win a medal. But if you publiclly come out and say that you couldn’t care less, than you should do exactly what Sally Jenkins thinks you should do. Leave right now. Pick up your bags dude, your better off leaving now instead of staying and making bone-headed comments again. Sure we (the American people) will all still hate your fricken guts, but hey it isn’t as bad as it could have been if you stay. If you don’t win a medal, don’t think that you’ll be representing this country in any sport ever again. Heck, I wouldn’t want you representing me in Congress or in court. Just go back to your lifestyle were you supposedly don’t let any media in, and are highly annoyed (Notice how you voice this through a commercial dumba$$) by this.
I know I speak for everyone in the house I’m in now, by saying leave.
Bode….your name may be kicka$$ (Bode is way more original than Matt!), but you’ve ruined yourself. You should really go and live under a rock or something, just not near Torino.
Sorry that there isn’t anything funny, but hey, maybe leavebode.com is a good enough one for you.

Google It! February 19, 2006

Well I dunno if any of you watch the tele that often, but automobile giant GM has let their child company, Pontiac have a new commercial to promote themselves. The commercial is one of the first commercials to actually say ‘google it’ instead of ‘search it’.Google has become one of the fastest growing companies on the market. Not only that, but Google has done something that is similar to Kleenex, which took the term ‘grab a tissue’ to ‘grab a kleenex’. This might not seem like a NY Times front page story, but it definatly should grab some attention. Many companies hope for something like this, it is widely considered to be something that put’s your brand ahead of the rest, or ‘on the spot’. If something like this were to happen in say the Automobile world, to a company like Honda, than you wouldn’t drive a car anymore, you would drive a Honda. School students would learn a mis-perception that Henry Ford created America’s first Honda, instead of what he really did. This isn’t as big as a problem as something like Global Warming orAIDS is to the American people, but if this happens more and more often horrible things will result from it. If Honda really does become the new term for a car, other companies such as GM would loose all business and put a lot of people out of jobs. One person has already been put out of a job, Ask.com’s iconic figure Jeeves is being axed, or retired/retiring, said to be ‘axed’ for some stupid excuse. When we all know that Google caused this. Ask.com was a big hit, when I was in 4rth and 5th grade (1999-2001), when you searched you asked Jeeves. But that soon faded once Google had arose from the dark corner of the internet.
This is just a fair warning to y’all that Google may be a great search site with ton’s of features but not everyone can be as big of a hit as Chuck Norris, but hey not many of us can be.
